Dr Maria Goss is a dedicated, progressive and hardworking agricultural resilience and agroecology specialist, with over fourteen (14) years’ experience working with diverse stakeholders in developing community-led appropriate adaptive technologies and sustainable solutions in the agriculture sector. She possess a Doctorate in Crop and Environmental Science from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal,  Master of Science in Crop Science University of Zimbabwe, 2008  and a Bachelor of Science Agriculture (Honours) Degree in Horticulture from the Women’s University in Africa; 2003. Maria has experience in managing and developing sustainable, innovative and appropriate interventions which promote viable, regenerative and resilient, climate smart agricultural and natural resource conserving practices, essential for viable livelihoods. She is passionate about enhancing environmental sustenance and identifying alternative agricultural livelihood sources for food/nutrition security and equitable market systems and social inclusion; and alleviating rural poverty through improving local area economies using transformative gender approaches. A committed practitioner and strong advocate for resilient, sustainable and equitable food production systems anchored on agroecology principles and creating enabling operating environments, through cohesive team-work, advocacy and policy advocacy and influence via strategic collaborations.
