Mr. Bwenje is the Chief Director for Strategic Policy Planning and Business Development Directorate in the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Resettlement.  He has vast experience in the public, quasi-public and private domains having worked as Chief Economist and Acting Head of Business Development with the Agriculture and Rural Development Authority (ARDA) from 2002 – 2009, and as the Managing Director for Ag-Venture (Pvt) Ltd from 2009 – 2012. 

 

His policy research experience is reflected in his work on: The Impact of Large-Scale Investments on the Livelihoods of Smallholder Farming Communities – The Case of Green Fuels and Tongaat and Hullett Zimbabwe (2017); The Analysis of Reduction of Economic Loss From Use of Improved Post-Harvest Technologies in Shamva and Makoni Districts of Zimbabwe (2016);  Livelihoods Empowerment Agriculture Programme (LEAP) Impact Study Focusing on Socio Economic Viability and Ecological Limits of Dry Season Rice Pump Irrigation From The Gambia River, Gambia (2016); and The Economic Contribution of Tobacco Production and Marketing Models in the Development of Zimbabwe (2015).

 

Clemence a Masters of Arts Degree in Development Studies (2015) from the Midlands State University (MSU); a BSc Agriculture Honours Degree in Agriculture Economics (1995) from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ); and a Diploma in Rural Development (2002) from Galilee College, Israel
