Sunflower and Legume Value Chain Issues Paper Writers Workshop

The Center for Agriculture and Food Policy (CAFP) and the Resilience Knowledge Hub (RKH) provided technical assistance to the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development (MLAFWRD) for the development of a Sunflower and Legume Value Chain Strategy/Plan. A Writer’s Workshop to develop an Issues Paper on Sunflower and Legume Value Chain Strategy/Plan was conducted during the period 13th to 16th of September 2022. The Issues Paper is a building block towards the development of a Sunflower and Legume Value Chain Strategy/Plan. Participants were drawn from the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development, Resilience Knowledge Hub, Agricultural Parastatals and other key stakeholders. 

A draft Sunflower and Legume Value Chain strategy was produced and is currently under deliberation by the MLAFWRD
