CAFP Represented at UNFCCC

Through its interim Chief Executive Officer Dr Antony Chapoto, the Center for Agriculture and Food Policy participated in the UN Climate Change Conference (COP27) held from 6th-18th of November 2022 in Sharm El-Sheikh Egypt. The CEO attended mainly for two reasons which are to understand the development in the climate change arena and look for opportunities and potential partners to collaborate. During the conference Dr Chapoto was engaged by Zimbabwe delegation to give a presentation on the Impact of Pfumvudza Farming Concept on Maize Productivity in Zimbabwe. The key message from his presentation was that Pfumvudza Farming Concept positively contributed to the food security of smallholder farmers in Zimbabwe.
